Sydney Harris is a mental health strategist with experience across nationally based public and private sector projects, dedicated to transforming care into operational models that are person-centered and accessible. She has led major initiatives, including the recent Austin State Hospital Redesign, as well as cross-sector collaborations that address and integrate the intersections of mental health crises, homelessness, and the justice system. Sydney is the co-editor of Redesigning the U.S. Mental Health Care System (Oxford University Press) and the recipient of the prestigious HFSE George Pressler Under 40 Award, that gives recognition to exceptional leadership and vision in healthcare planning, design, construction, and operations. She is a Co-Founder of MindCareConnect and is currently a Doctoral Candidate in Public Health at the Johns Hopkins University.
