Who We Support

Our lifelong learning fundraising travel events are the heart of keeping members connected and giving back.

By employing and working with inspiring nonprofits as part of our travel, we expose members to fascinating examples of what others are doing and direct our dollars to worthy organizations.

Here are some that we have supported in the last couple of years.

Cycling Without Age is a movement started in 2012 by Ole Kassow. Ole wanted to help his neighbors at the local nursing home get back on their bicycles, but he had to find a solution to their limited mobility.

The Foundation seeks opportunities to help young people gain the valuable skills and training needed for a successful career in the professional music industry.

Washington National Cathedral is a House of Prayer for All People, rooted in the Episcopal Church yet open to all.

The National Park Foundation generates private support and builds strategic partnerships to protect and enhance America’s national parks for present and future generations.

The idea of building a memorial to fallen journalists in Washington, D.C. was conceived by former U.S. Representative and Tribune Publishing Company Chairman David Dreier.

An organization that offers formerly incarcerated adults a foundation in the culinary and hospitality industries and a support network necessary for long-term success.

The People’s House is a new cutting-edge educational museum tells the story of the Executive Mansion, its inhabitants and the people who have dedicated their careers to its functions.

Their mission is to inspire generations of park champions to cherish and support the natural and cultural wonder of Grand Canyon.

 

Hillwood Estate, Museum & Gardens is an experience inspired by the life of our founder, Marjorie Merriweather Post, and her passion for excellence, gracious hospitality, art, history, and gardens.

The Phillips Collection offers award-winning education and community engagement programs for audiences of all ages and backgrounds.

The National Museum of African American History and Culture is the only national museum devoted exclusively to the documentation of African American life, history, and culture.

Since 1916, the National Park Service has been entrusted with the care of our national parks. With the help of volunteers and partners, they safeguard these special places and share their stories.

Dr. Harris opened this home to a group of 33 students from Nashville, Tennessee, who were challenging interstate bus segregation. Harris’ home served as a haven for the Freedom Riders.
